One of the objectives of the Young Leaders Mentoring Program is to raise students who will be problem solvers in their schools and communities and advocates of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the second module of the 2022 Young Leaders Mentoring Program, Mr Tobi Afolabi, a member S.M.I.L.E’s Alumni, took the Change Champions through the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Through his explicit teaching, he helped the young leaders understand the importance of the goals and identify simple actions they can carryout in their daily activities to help achieve the goals.
Furthermore, he simplified the teaching by grouping the 17 SDGs using the 5Ps namely:
