INTRODUCING CAREER COHORT MENTEES FOR S.M.I.L.E 2024/2025 EXECUTIVE MENTORING PROGRAM FOR YOUTH (EMPY)

Congratulations to all our 20 mentees who successfully scaled through the screening process and have been admitted into the Career Cohort (Undergraduate and graduate Category) of S.M.I.L.E’s Executive Mentoring Program for Youth (EMPY).
The EMPY is a small group mentoring program that connects Youth with accomplished professionals in various fields mostly CEOs, Business Owners, Top Executives, etc who serve as mentors to youth in specific areas such as Academics, Career, Business and Social Enterprise to facilitate their development and attainment of life goals.
The program presents the mentees the opportunity to leverage on the guidance, experiences and the network of their mentors to make informed decisions and achieve their personal and professional goals.
Wishing you a great learning experience as you embark on this 6 months transformative self-development journey.

GEARING UP FOR THE 2025 S.M.I.L.E YOUNG LEADERS MENTORING PROGRAM (YLMP) FOR PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

We are thrilled to have successfully screened prospective students from 8 Public Secondary Schools we will be adopting in Lagos State for our upcoming 2025 Young Leaders Mentoring Program (YLMP).
Through the interview process, the S.M.I.L.E team identified budding/potential leaders eager to participate in our unique, rigorous, and transformational program.
Over the past decade, we have witnessed the remarkable impact of the Young Leaders Mentoring Program on the leadership development, character building, and mindset shift of our beneficiaries. We are optimistic that these teenagers will harness the lessons and skills gained from this intensive leadership and mentoring program.
Special thanks to the counselors in various schools who assisted with the pre-selection process and coordination of the students.
We look forward to an exciting experience with another batch of Change Champions as we officially kick off the program in January 2025.

CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN LEADERSHIP

I am deeply honored to receive the International Third World Leaders Association (ITWLA), 2024 Leadership Pillars Award in Education, at the ITWLA Global Leadership Forum (GLF) in Nassau, Bahamas.

This award recognizes my contributions and dedication to youth development in my country, Nigeria and the impact we are making through S.M.I.L.E’s youth development programs. Indeed it is an encouragement to me and the S.M.I.L.E Team to continually commit to educating and empowering the next generation of leaders.

I am dedicating this award to two remarkable individuals and members of our team who recently passed away, my beloved Baba Lasisi Sule and Taiwo Ishola, for being instrumental in the growth of S.M.I.L.E’s vision. Their relentless passion, commitment and dedication have been crucial in our journey to create lasting impact. This award is as much theirs as it is mine.

Special thanks to the ITWLA Leadership and Chairwoman Dr Deavra Daughtry for this prestigious honour, and to everyone who has supported our vision at S.M.I.L.E
