S.M.I.L.E PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO OVER 190 PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS 💃🏾🕺🏾

It’s a new academic school year and we are elated to have successfully completed our Back to School Outreach across 8 public secondary schools we’ve adopted in Lagos State.
 
 
With the rising cost of educational materials, we are delighted that through this intervention we could support the educational pursuit of over 190 indigent students by donating notebooks and pens.
 
 
Our profound gratitude goes to our beloved partners for their generous donations and for consistently supporting our Youth.

He is also the co-founder of Just Cause Initiative and a founder of a small business enterprise that helps people create memories through branding.

Congratulations to our two young leaders who emerged as the recipients of the Outstanding Achievement Award during the maiden edition of S.M.I.L.E’s Digital Literacy Programme in public secondary schools.
Our special thanks to our partners, Agents for Change International, USA and The CARR Group, Bahamas, for sponsoring this program; through their donations we were able to present 2 brand new android phones to these outstanding students.
While lack of devices such as laptops and android phones continues to be major causes for the alarming digital divide, we are excited these 2 young leaders now have the tools to aid their learning, continue to improve their digital skills and better equip them to interact with the global community.

Our special thanks to our long-standing partners the Lagos State Education District II, the management of Lanre Awolokun High School Lagos, S.M.I.L.E’s school counselor, Mrs Victoria Adeyemo and the students of the school for ensuring the pilot program was a huge success.

S.M.I.L.E SCHOOLS ECO GARDEN PROJECT: A PROMISE KEPT!

At last year’s International Youth Day we promised to implement the core objectives of the theme, Transforming Food Systems by starting an Eco Garden Project in the schools we adopted; with an aim to spur the interest of young people in Agriculture and to get them involved in the food chain.
Our profound gratitude goes to the management and students of Jagunmolu Girls Senior Grammar School for flagging off the Eco Garden Project in their school.
We are delighted these young girls are now able to grow their own foods and in their own little way, have contributed to the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2-Zero Hunger, as they continue to share their harvest with their teachers and family members.
We also congratulate the school for emerging as the winner of S.M.I.L.E’s United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 Trailblazer Award. Their dedication and most specially the selflessness of Mrs Oluremi Ladipo contributed immensely to the success of the project.
Special thanks to our amazing partners for sponsoring this project and for donating materials (such as bamboos) towards the project.
